MKL update. Thursday June 27th Motokazie was heard at Rice County Planning Commission. It was a very extensive meeting that lasted until midnight. The positive outcomes include the grading and filling CUP approved to move forward to BOC.
Organized Motorsports CUP addressed the hours and days of operation were set at 260 days open. Wednesday 10a-6p, Thursday 10a-10p (night track used), Friday 10a-8p, Saturday 10a-8p, Sunday 10a-6p, Up to 48 race days or ‘event days’ are allowed with day race times 8:30a-6p and night races 1p-10p. Eventually these items will move to BOC for final vote.
The bad news: The Organized Motorsports CUP and Campground CUP - although each of the 51 Conditions were thoroughly discussed, they were tabled again due to the Wells Township Road issue. The gravel road 160th has been in discussion since March 2013 and Motokazie is again on Wells Township agenda on July 1st. Motokazie remains determined and persistent to move this project forward. Please take the time to write the 5 BOC (Board of Commissioners) a letter of support and urgency for approvals. The information is listed on www.motokazieland.com
